First of all I want to apologize if the syntax of my sentences are not good, I'm French ..

Some useful informations:

• Intel MacBookPro Unibody (the latest)
• OS X version : 10.6.2,
• KisMAC version : 0.3
• Alfa Awus036H (Realtek RTL8187)

Problem:

I want to know the WEP key of my neighbors (who are aware of this manipulation) .
I know that that there are 26 letters or numbers ...
I have captured more than 1,768,000 packets and 950,000 Unique IVs..
When i press "network","crack","weak scheduling attack" "against both" (I have tried each one separated (40 bits and 104 bits) ) and i have an error message :

Cracking unsuccessful

KisMAC was not able to recover the WEP key. This is either because you have not collected enough unique packets, you will need a value way bigger than 100,000. Or another reason might be the fact that the base station is using extended features like WEP+ or the key was simply changed during the collection process.


I think its because there are 26 letters => 208 bits... (1 letter = 8 bits no?)

So my question is, how can I do to find this WEP key with KisMac?

The cracking engine in KisMAC is quite old and can sometimes not crack your passwords. I suggest you try Aircrack-ng which has a very up to date cracking engine. You can find that here: http://www.aircrack-ng.org The instructions are simple and easy to follow.

Patches are welcome if you don't like something about the application....

You should read the FAQ, it explains WEP keys. As already mentioned here (and as also mentioned pretty clearly on the FAQ), the Aircrack-ng suite is recommended for a reason; the aircrack-ng tool works wonderfully on OS X.
